How long does it take to get hired from start to finish? What are the steps along the way?
The hiring process generally takes three to five weeks on average. The process begins with the completion of an application. From there, an interview may be scheduled and held. Orientation classes are held at the Corporate Office in Grantsville, MD, and are also hosted virtually as needed. Orientation ranges from 1-5 days, depending on the position. Not all jobs require travel with overnight stay, however, certain field positions do involve regular out-of-town travel. If your manager determines that overnight travel is required due to the distance of the job, lodging and travel expenses will be covered. The company works to provide a work/life balance for all employees which is taken into consideration when scheduling and issuing work assignments. What is a Career Path and how does your company provide one for me?

All of our employees have a Stop Work Obligation, which means any employee can, and must, call a stop to any work they feel is unsafe so it can be evaluated for risk.
Will I need to worry about potential layoffs?
Our company has an historically low rate of layoffs. We work to find emerging markets and opportunities to keep our employees actively working. With the diversity of our focus, our ability to provide work is not typically impacted by economic conditions, the political climate, nor weather. If you are willing to adapt, learn new skills, and assist in other areas, there are generally work opportunities (even if your department is in between jobs).
What type of work does your company perform?
